My deepest condolences to my dear Aunt Ethel, cousins Sue, Jim and Doug and their extended families on this most sad occasion.
Uncle Jim was the only uncle I ever knew. My favorite memories come from the years that Uncle Jim, Aunt Ethel and their youngest, Doug, would come to Peterborough for their annual visit. My sisters and I used to love creating unusual 'no recipe' sweet treats and the only adult to appreciate our efforts and thoroughly enjoy our creations was our Uncle Jim. He'd even ask when we were making more, please! ... the only problem was, we could never duplicate the same item twice. He didn't mind though, and was ever ready for the next sweet something.
